Using the Mech-fiber™ approach to lift feed conversion efficiency is one of the the most reliable and dramatic ways you can lift your overall enterprise profitability.
The average improvement in Feed Conversion with Mech-fiberª is 10% within the first year rising to 20-30% over 2-3 years.
According to Professor David Colman - President of the International Association of Agricultural Economists - improving feed efficiency by just 8-9% in a 8000 litre/cow herd can put net margin up from £96/cow to £250/cow Ð a 160% gain. Achieving KeenanÕs first year FCE improvement of 10% would lift this to £288/cow Ð an increase in profit per cow of 200%.

In trials at the world renowned Coopon Carse Farm in South West Scotland, without any ration change, replacing the existing vertical mixer with a Keenan Mech-fiberª unit produced more milk and more protein with total gains worth £0.32 per cow per day - all within 3 weeks.

Using a full Mech-fiberª ration, 1.9 kg DM/cow/day less feed produced 0.9 litres more milk/cow/day and a 0.34% protein lift, giving a margin improvement of £1.03 cow/day. With the introduction of PACE, this increased to £1.41 per cow per day.
